FSX/P3D v3 Vought SB2U Vindicator Updated. The Vought SB2U Vindicator was an American carrier-based dive bomber developed for the United States Navy in the 1930s, the first monoplane in this role. Obsolete at the outbreak of World War II, Vindicators still remained in service at the time of the Battle of Midway, but by 1943, all had been withdrawn to training units. This is an FSX update of the Vindicator, mainly featuring new VC and 2D panels with authentic instruments based upon the real panel. The model now has navlights as well as vclight and smoke effect. Included in the package are eleven nice texture sets. Thanks to Erik Hertzberger for converting this model from CFS2 to make it flyable in FSX. The model will probably work in P3D, version3, but no guarantee. New panels and lights and smoke configuration by Michael Pook.
FSX/Acceleration/P3dV3 Vought SB2U Vindicator. Improved textures for that prewar carrier based dive bomber. The two repaints are for the update package from Michael Pook (requires FSX_VOUGHT_VINDICATOR.ZIP). The conversion from CFS2 to FSX/P3D v3 was made by Erik Hertzberger. The repaints have no historical reference but they looks a bit more photorealistical than the old textures. The model provides folding wings and an animated gunner. Please add or replace the two texture sets to the preinstalled package. By Erwin Welker.
FSX/Accel/P3D v4 Blohm & Voss BV-238 giant flying boat. This huge aircraft made its first flight in April 1944 and was rather a flying ship than a boat, bigger than the BV-222, and was the heaviest aircraft of WWII. The Spruce Goose with eight engines was even much bigger but she was built at the end of the war and never did a real flight except a test taxiing with a short moment of being airborne. Only one BV-238 performed successful flights, the two other prototypes were never completed. The FS model shows the heavy armed planned long range bomber version, which was never completed. It comes with two paint schemes, 2D panel and a complete virtual cockpit. And there are plenty of animations: two extendable floats, 20 bomb bay hatches, 20 falling bombs, 18 moving guns and a supply boat. Twelve cameras showes you all the details. FSDS 3.5 model by Erwin Welker.
FSX Northrop BT-1 Dive Bomber. The Northrop BT1 first flew in 1936 and was assigned to both the USS Yorktown and USS Enterprise. It was not very successful but led to the development of the SBD "Dauntless" which was successful. This is a FSX Acceleration native model. It has the usual animations including cowl flaps, sliding canopies, and dive brakes. The VC has animated flight controls and working gauges. The gauges feature dark red back lighting which was common for night vision at that time. There is no 2D panel. This model is painted for the Executive Officer of Squadron VB-6 assigned to the USS Enterprise. By Paul Clawson.
FSX Airspeed Horsa Glider. The Horsa glider was used by the RAF in its WW2 airborne operations. It was bigger than the American Waco CG-4 and carried 30 troops vs. the Waco's 15. This is a FSDS v3.51 project compiled with Xtomdl into FSX (SP2). It has the usual animations plus opening door, steps and tail cone. The 2D panel and VC are based on a picture and the VC has animated controls. A low definition model of a Handley Page Halifax is included for use as a glider tug. Instructions are included to make the Halifax the default tow plane. By Paul Clawson.
FSX Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina. This is an update for FSX of Mike Stone's Consolidated PBY5A. It was only necessary to reposition two float points and change some gauges on the panel for the previous update of it to work in FSX. This update includes textures by Geoff Chambers, the Canadian textures. This is the whole aircraft. No virtual cockpit. By Bob Chicilo.
FSX Curtiss SC-1 Seahawk. The Seahawk was the last design specifically created for ship catapult launch and use as a scout plane. This is a native FSX Acceleration project. It has full animations, a specular shine, reflective glass and lights. The panel.cfg contains the gauges necessary for a catapult launch from a properly equipped vessel using the rcbco-30 gauges (not included). The gauges must be activated per the readme. The VC is based on a partial photo and has working gauges and animated flight controls. There is no 2D panel. By Paul Clawson.
FS2004/FSX Curtiss Hawk 2. The Curtiss Hawk II was essentially an export version of the XF11C-2 with a Wright R-1820F-3 Cyclone rated at 710 hp. Hawk II saw combat between Peru and Colombia, Bolivia and Paraguay (in the Gran Chaco War), China and Japan, Siamese/Thai Hawks fought against the French in Indochina, and for one day against the Japanese prior to a cease-fire being agreed. Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration. Original CFS2 model by "Thicko", upgrade by A.F. Scrub.
FS2004/FSX/Acceleration/P3D v3 Reworked Heinkel He100D. It was a German pre-World War II fighter aircraft, with 670 kmh proved to be one of the fastest fighter aircraft in the world at the time of its development but it went never into series production. Nineteen prototypes and pre-production examples were built. The original model is made by "rodolfovalery". The reworked model has improved textures, 2D and VC cockpits and two special repaints for the German Luftwaffe JG54 and the Royal Hungarian Air Force. The cockpit improvements was done by Ed Wells and Michael Pook, the repaints are made by Erwin Welker.
FS2004/FSX Hawker Fury with air cooled engine. Persian Furies had Pratt & Whitney Hornet radials, but these were later replaced by Bristol Mercury engines for added performance. So favored were the Persian Mercuries by their pilots, that they were flown as late as 1943. However the engine installation moved the c.g. forward resulting in a tendency of the airplane to nose over during taxiing. Gmax by A.F. Scrub.
FSX Fiat Cr42. An Italian WWII biplane fighter. The CR.42 was manufactured in larger numbers than any other Italian fighter, remaining in production as late as 1943. Extremely light on the controls, universally viewed as a delight to fly, superbly agile and innately robust, the CR.42 synthesised a decade-and-a-half of continuos fighter development. Includes aircraft and panel. By Gian Luigi Tinti.
FSX Consolidated PB2Y Updated. The Coronado was the only four engine patrol bomber in US Navy service at the outbreak of WW2. It served very well with its 5000 mile patrol range. Over 200 were produced and it served into 1942 when it was gradually replaced with the Martin Mariner. This is an FSX panel update for the Consolidated PB2Y Coronado Flying Boat by the late Paul Clawson. It features both an entirely new VC and 2D panel. The contact points have been corrected and smoke is incuded now as well. Thanks to Paul Clawson for the original model. All FSX updates by Michael Pook.
FSX The Flying Undertaker P-51. A repaint of Roger Dial's North American P51 Mustang D modified For Flight Simulator X and entitled "The Flying Undertaker". This is a historicaly accurate repaint of the famous P-51 "The Flying Undertaker," Race 66, which was campaigned in 1976 by George Roberts, and later by John Muzala. The Flying Undertaker was seriously damaged in a 1981 accident, The aircraft was rebuilt and was sold to Major General Charles "Chuck" Yeager and became Glamourous Glen III". While en route to a 357th FG Reunion the aircraft was destroyed in the crash and post-impact fire. This is a complete aircraft, modified by Mark Rooks.
FSX P-47 Razorback "Kansas Tornado II" P-47D-22-RE (s/n 42-26249) coded '2Z-D' and named Kansas Tornado II, flown by Lt. Howard J. Curran of 510th FS / 405th FG. Textures only for the payware A2A Simulations Republic P47 model. By Allfarder.
FS2004/FSX Mitsubishi G4M1 Betty bomber. Codenamed 'Betty' by the Allies, the Mitsubishi G4M long-range medium bomber remained in service with the Japanese navy from the first to the last day of the war. It was a surprisingly agile aircraft with a long range. Used to deliver a varied payload, ranging from single torpedo to multiple bombs. Its missions were many and varied. In truth it was often sent where 4 engined bombers should have flown. Three versions are included. Original mdl by Stuart Green. Upgraded to FS2004/FSX by A.F.Scrub.
FSX Caproni CA331-OA bomber in a reccon variant. The first flight of that prototype with gull wings went airborne in 1940. There is a certain similarity to the german Heinkel He-111. The FS2002/2004 model is made by F. Giuli. It provides a functional VC and Giuli's textures showes the reconnaissance airplane in an italian camouflage paintscheme. The FSX-converted model comes with a new 2D-panel, matching the original VC. Six external and four internal cameras plus weapon effects are included in my upgrade. This is a complete aircraft. FSX conversion, 2D panel and reconfiguration by Erwin Welker.
FSX/P3D v3 B-24J The Dragon And His Tail. A repaint for the Alphasim Consolidated B-24 J Liberator "The Dragon And His Tail". This is not the first repaint in this paint scheme but my repaint is displaying the dragon on both sides like the historical version and not only on starboard like the restored warbird. Reworked textures by Erwin Welker.
FSX Northrop A-17. The A-17 was developed from the very successful and high performance Northrop Gamma series of aircraft. It served as the USAAC attack aircraft until it was decided to fill that role with twin engine aircraft. This is a FSX Acceleration native project. It includes both the early blue - yellow livery and a reflective silver paint job. It has .dds textures, reflective glass and either a specular shine or reflective surfaces. The VC is based on a photo and has working gauges and animated flight controls. There is no 2D panel. By Paul Clawson.
FSX B-29 Superfortress Soviet TU-4. These are textures for the payware Boeing B29 by Virtavia depicting the Soviet copy of the B29, the Tupolev Tu-4. Installation instructions included. By Matt Levi.
FSX/P3D Supermarine Spitfire "Silver Spitfire". "In 2019 two intrepid aviators will attempt to fly a Silver Spitfire around the world, taking in some of the most famous landmarks on the planet from the Grand Canyon in the west to the snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji in the east." This is a skin representing it made for the A2A Spitfire, compatible with any version of Prepar3D or FSX. By Tom Weiss.
FSX Blackburn Firebrand Update. This is an update for FSX of the Blackburn Firebrand by A.F. Scrub. I have updated the flight dynamics; changed the internal fuel to what at least one web site said it should be (total gallons); changed both panels by adding gauges to them; fixed the fuel selector gauge; it was not made correct, or the one with the aircraft was messed up; remarked out the oxygen gauge that was causing the strobe lights to not work; and added a different autopilot. You can use the one with the radios, or the new one. For me the gun effects did not work. Apparently something is missing, or messed up some way. By Bob Chicilo.
Prepar3D USAAF P-51D Mustang Cripe's A Mighty. Made for P3D v4 - this is a 4K texture. Compatible with FSX or any version of P3D. Can be used with either A2A Simulations P-51D Military or P-51D Civilian version. By Tom Weiss.
FSX/P3D v3,v4 Messerschmitt 109B-D. Without a doubt, the Messerschmitt Bf 109 was Germany's most important, and most numerous, fighter of World War II. With more than 30,000 of all variants produced, it is easily the most numerous of any fighter type of the war. First flown in 1935 as the Bf 109a, this arch-enemy of Great Britain was fitted with, of all things, a Rolls-Royce engine. It did not meet with instantaneous enthusiasm from pilots used to open cockpits, two wings, and great low-speed agility such as the biplanes of World War I. The Bf 109B was the first version of this famous fighter to enter mass production. FSX/P3D v3,v4 model by A.F. Scrub.
FSX/P3D v3,v4 Messerschmitt 109 DISLU. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 V13 and V14 were racing prototypes utilizing the new Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine for the first time in a Bf109. Me 109 V14 was prepared for Ernst Udet to be flown at the 4th International Aviation Meeting near Zurich between 23 July and 1 August 1937. After flying the airplane to Zurich himself, Udet flew the aircraft in the Alps Circuit Race on 27 July, experienced engine trouble, and crash-landed the plane. He was not hurt but the aircraft was a write-off, ending a very brief, and no doubt embarrassing, public debut . FSX/P3D v3,v4 model by A.F. Scrub.
FSX/P3D Messerschmitt Bf109E. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighter force. The Bf 109 first saw operational service in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War and was still in service at the dawn of the jet age at the end of World War II in 1945. The first redesign came with the E series. The Bf 109E (Emil) introduced structural changes to accommodate the heavier and more powerful 1,100 PS (1,085 HP) Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine, heavier armament and increased fuel capacity. Two models included. Standard and Trop variants. FSX/P3D native Gmax models by A.F. Scrub.
FS2004/FSX Bf 109E 7. In late 1938, the Bf 109E entered production. It was the standard Luftwaffe fighter in the first years of WW2. The Bf 109 (designed by Willy Messerschmitt) and the later variants were some of the greatest fighter aircraft of the war. They are certainly the most famous of all German aircraft ever built. Normal and trop variants included. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.
FSX/Prepar3D USAAF P-51D Mustang Ferocious Frankie. Made for P3D v4 - this is a 4K texture. Compatible with FSX or any version of P3D. Can be used with either A2A Simulations P-51D Military or P-51D Civilian version. By Tom Weiss.
